Campus visitors or Sun Devils who only need to park on campus a couple of times each week may find that daily or hourly parking best suits their needs. Daily and hourly parking is subject to availability and may be influenced by factors including campus events and construction.
Several daily and hourly parking locations also feature pay-by-app parking through ParkMobile.
ASU offers a variety of parking and permit options to support the different types of commuters coming onto ASU campuses. Sustainable commuter groups may purchase a High Occupancy Vehicle | HOV permit with special benefits and rewards.
Permits do not reserve a parking spot but allow for parking in a specific location. Parking permit prices are based on the facility's proximity to campus destinations. Each campus offers tiered permit rates that range in price.
ASU transit passes make commuting more affordable and sustainable. Students can purchase a U-Pass and employees can buy the Platinum Pass for unlimited rides on Valley Metro Light Rail and eligible bus routes.
Download the Valley Metro app to plan trips and track buses in real time.
During enforcement times, no one may drive, park or ride wheeled vehicles in Walk-only zones.
Bollard management
Bollards restrict vehicular mall access and are located in specific Tempe campus areas. Contact Parking and Transportation Services or your assigned construction project manager for bollard management information.
Car and vehicular access on malls
At the end of each semester, abandoned bicycles from all ASU campuses are collected and delivered to Surplus Property. All unclaimed bicycles are sold in the Surplus Property retail store. Parts and frames are sold at auction.
The Downtown Phoenix and Tempe campuses offer card-access bicycle and scooter parking facilities with valet parking as an option at three locations on the Tempe campus. Bikes and scooters must be locked to a rack when on ASU campuses. Bicycles and scooters locked to anything other than a rack are subject to impoundment.
The Mercado route provides service between the Mercado Building on the Downtown Phoenix campus and the Tempe campus.
