Human Empowerment through AI Technology
Transform how we learn, work and lead
The Human Empowerment through AI Technology — HEAT — program empowers Business and Finance employees to find efficient solutions to everyday problems and reduce steps in routine work.
Training levels
The HEAT program includes three levels of training:
Level One: Explorer
The Generative AI for Staff online training course in Workday outlines essential AI concepts, applications and ethics to help employees navigate this transformative technology. All Business and Finance employees are encouraged to complete the Workday-based training by Dec. 31, 2025.
Level Two: Catalyst
This training provides a hands-on, deeper dive into AI. Participants will explore virtual assistants, learn how to enhance their AI interactions and build a sample chatbot using the CreateAI platform.
Note: Completion of the Level One training is required before enrolling.
Learn AI for Staff: CreateAI Platform training
After completing the virtual training, you are encouraged to put your new skills into practice and create your own chatbot for a practical, job-related use case. The Business and Finance AI Team will host in-person workshops to provide support and feedback on these custom projects.

Level Three: Champion
Each year, Business and Finance leadership will select a group of employees to serve as AI champions within their units and across the organization. Participants will earn a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Business from the W. P. Carey School of Business.
Upon Level Three completion, participants will gain these qualifications:
