In general, parking permits are valid from Aug. 16 or the date of purchase, whichever is later, to July 31 of the following year. Fees for permits purchased after Sept. 4 are prorated.

Pay-as-you-go permits are available in select parking facilities. The period these permits are valid can be set by the customer. Customer will agree to these terms on the online purchase process.

Safety guidelines

Knowing the law and staying alert helps keep everyone safe from potential hazards. Follow these guidelines when using your transportation device on campus:

2025 class break schedule

Starting Friday, May 16, Tempe-Downtown Phoenix-West Valley and Polytechnic-Tempe shuttles will operate on the summer/class break schedule. There is no weekend shuttle service.

Summer break shuttles run every hour, from 6 a.m. until the last departure at 5:10 p.m.

Mercado and Tempe-West Express will resume service in fall 2025.

The Maroon route provides service between Downtown Phoenix, Tempe and West Valley campuses.

Shuttle commuters should plan ahead to allow for sufficient time when traveling on the intercampus shuttles. Multiple shuttles may be in service at peak times, but due to potential traffic delays, exact times are not guaranteed. Riders can use the shuttle tracker for live updates on where shuttles travel.

Reservations are available in the permit and mixed-use lots, but cannot be made for daily and hourly only lots.

Sun Devils who lock their keys in their vehicle or have a dead car battery while parked in an ASU permit or daily and hourly lot may request PTS's free Motorist Assistance Program service.
