• ASU launched the first School of Sustainability in the country.
• ASU President Michael Crow was a founder of the ACUPCC and founding signatory to The Climate Commitment. ASU has maintained this commitment, as demonstrated by our achievement of carbon neutrality for Scopes 1 and 2 for FY 2019.
• ASU has 69 LEED-certified buildings, including the first platinum-certified building in Arizona.
• ASU has 90 solar systems on campus.
• Orange Mall is expanding with green infrastructure.

Annual awards

• ASU ranks 3rd on the EPA Green Power challenge program in quarter two of 2023.
• ASU retains No. 1 ranking in the U.S. for the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings 2023. 
• ASU achieves Platinum STARS Rating in 2023 from AASHE.
• ASU is ranked No. 1 in innovation for the 8th year, which plays a key role in achieving ASU’s sustainability goals.
