SIRF: Tier Two and Three Loans

Tier Two Fund Matching and Efficiency Loan

Tier Two loans are medium-scale, capital-improvement initiatives that return a project’s costs to SIRF within six years or less. The loans are ideal for departments upgrading or renovating space to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

Tier Two loans require that the department match the funds of the proposed investment and share in the return generated. To apply for a Tier Two loan, please complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the request form and financial matrix form
  2. Email both forms to the SIRF committee.

Tier Three Capital Expansion Loan

Tier Three loans include large-scale initiatives that make a significant and measurable sustainability impact and return a project’s costs within ten years or less. These loans target strategic external and internal partnerships that reduce carbon emissions.

To apply for a Tier Three loan, please complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the request form and financial matrix form
  2. Email both forms to the SIRF committee.

SIRF committee

The SIRF committee is composed of ASU senior management who approves project requests. The SIRF committee establishes the minimum financial goals the tier-two and three projects must meet for funding approval.
