When your permit or pass is valid
Review the general validity periods for each permit and pass below. Find the effective and expiration dates for your permit or pass in your ASU Transportation Account.
Parking permits
Parking permits are generally valid from Aug. 1 through July 31 of the following year. Permits purchased after Aug. 1 are valid from the date of purchase. Permit fees are prorated for permits purchased after Sept. 4.
Pay-as-you-go permits
Pay-as-you-go permits are available in select parking facilities. Customers choose the permit duration during the online purchase process and agree to the applicable terms at checkout.
Student U-Pass
Student U-Passes are generally valid from Aug. 16 through the date of spring commencement. U-Passes purchased after Aug. 16 become valid on the date of purchase. The U-Pass rate is prorated once on Jan. 1. Refunds are prorated as described in the Transactions and Placement policy.
Summer U-Passes are generally valid from the Monday after spring commencement through the end of the summer session. Summer U-Passes are nonrefundable.
