We offer a variety of resources at each career level through our EDGE philosophy — engage, develop, grow and empower.

Services

Career EDGE

ASU employees can access more than 14,000 online and in-person ASU and LinkedIn Learning courses for mandatory job training and professional development.

Custom professional development

We consult with teams to provide custom professional development workshops based on staffing availability. We also coach individuals and teams, using assessments such as DISC®, 360 assessments, and Emotional Intelligence. For some assessments, a fee applies.

Emerging Supervisor Pathway

This self-paced, semester-long training helps interested employees with no supervisory experience learn how to become supervisors. Participants learn foundational ASU knowledge, practical skills and resources to prepare them for a supervisor role.

Engagement and appreciation

Our programs promote and celebrate excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, creative expression, peer recognition, collaboration across departments and disciplines, use-inspired outcomes and community spirit.

Mastering leadership

We help leaders build mastery of their leadership through insights, 1:1 coaching, peer learning in workshops, and applied practice. Participants learn strategies from diverse ASU leaders to help them navigate the organizational culture and advance bold initiatives.

New employee orientation

Our team helps new hires learn about public service policies and employee benefits when at the New American University on orientation day.

Retirement

Individuals retiring with five or more years of continuous service to ASU may receive a retirement certificate. Departments may obtain a retirement certificate and holder through ASU Print Online.

Supervisor development

Individuals who are promoted or hired into a supervisory role learn about university policies and procedures, self-awareness, personal work style, and management strategies that foster collaborative engagement and performance.
