ASU Facilities Development and Management maintains and services all university-owned property and develops and constructs innovative and sustainable facilities. FDM’s vision is to contribute to and guarantee the success of the university’s mission by creating and caring for the ASU campus and environment. Our vision is to provide quality customer service, steward our resources effectively, and meet the university's needs through creative and collaborative efforts.

Business Services

The Business Services department within FDM handles centralized budgetary and accounting support, ensuring compliance with ASU and Arizona Board of Regents policies. This team manages utility forecasting, fiscal management and various service agreements across ASU campuses.

Facilities Management

This department comprises maintenance shops, service units, and business partners at ASU’s multiple campuses. They provide essential services for campus grounds, infrastructure and building maintenance, ensuring that all facilities operate efficiently and comply with energy mandates. Their work ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment conducive to learning and research.

Office of the University Architect

This office provides comprehensive planning and design guidance for ASU’s capital improvement projects. OUA provides campus and space planning, architectural programming and design review to meet ASU’s high facilities standards of functionality and aesthetics. The office plays a crucial role in shaping the university’s physical landscape and supporting its strategic vision.

LEED updates: As of June 2026, ASU has eight Platinum, 41 Gold, 35 Silver, and one certified LEED building certifications.

Capital Programs Management Group

This group is responsible for overseeing the design, renovation, and construction of facilities and infrastructure at ASU. CPMG manages consultants and contractors, provides design services, and ensures project approvals and reports align with the ABOR and legislative requirements. Their work ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the university’s standards.
