Employee Counseling Services

The Employee Assistance Office offers faculty and staff free, voluntary, confidential behavioral health and organizational consultation for personal and work-related issues.

EAO counseling services may include assessment, interventions or referrals. Our team uses a brief intervention model — between one and five sessions — to address various issues that may affect employees’ or family members’ well-being, productivity and relationships.

During the initial meeting, a counselor will assess immediate needs, gather a brief history, then work collaboratively to establish goals to help resolve an employee’s concerns. If we cannot meet those goals within the short-term model of care, referrals are provided for ongoing care using employee insurance benefits and community partners.

Call 480-965-2271 for counseling appointments and non-emergencies. After scheduling an appointment, complete the EA intake forms.

Other forms that may be required include the following for review:

Sexual and relationship violence
