Eight dimensions of well-being
Supporting the eight dimensions of well-being in the workplace is critical for organizational success, impacting individual employees and the broader organizational culture and performance. These dimensions include:
Emotional well-being: Learning to understand and master your feelings, thoughts and behaviors, coping with stress in healthy ways and having the self-awareness to seek support or counseling when necessary.
Environmental well-being: Recognize the importance of living in a healthy, sustainable environment. Environmental well-being involves engaging in practices that help create safe, accessible and sustainable spaces.
Financial well-being: Managing your finances effectively, having financial security, saving for the future and establishing short- and long-term goals to support your financial needs.
Intellectual well-being: Engaging in creative or mentally stimulating activities, seeking new knowledge and being open to new ideas and challenges.
Occupational well-being: Pursuing a career path that provides personal satisfaction and is consistent with your values, goals and lifestyle.
Physical well-being: Checking in with your body, getting enough physical activity, developing healthy eating habits and getting enough sleep.
Social well-being: Building and maintaining trusting, respectful and authentic relationships.
Spiritual well-being: Connecting your mind, body and spirit to support you in living your values and purpose.
