Protect yourself from the flu

Employee flu shots

Arizona State University employees eligible for benefits can receive a free flu shot as part of the employee wellness program. HIP participants can earn 500 points.

Flu vaccine clinics are available at all campuses Oct. 1–Nov. 6 by appointment only. Booking starts in August.

Bring these items to receive your free flu shot:

  • ASU Sun Card. Also, bring this card if you are eligible for benefits, but your health insurance differs from university health providers.
  • Campus ID number. Find it in your My ASU profile. Select View Profile > Account Details > My IDs.
  • Valid Arizona state-issued employee health insurance card.
  • Review the vaccine information statement before your visit.

There are no exceptions to these requirements. Employees not eligible for benefits can receive a regular flu vaccine for $45, preservative-free free for $50 and a high dose for seniors for $85. Cash, checks and cards are accepted.

Influenza prevention

The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against influenza — commonly known as the flu — is to get a flu vaccine every flu season. Flu is a contagious respiratory virus that can lead to serious illness, hospitalization or even death.

The Employee Wellness team provides campus flu shot clinics throughout Maricopa County during peak flu season, September through October. We also provide resources to ensure anyone who wants to receive a flu shot can access one in their local community. Benefits-eligible ASU employees can get free flu shots using their insurance at an on-campus clinic or contracted provider.
