Sun Devil Fitness Complex - West Valley

U.S. Green Building Council member emblemThe three-story Sun Devil Fitness Complex at the West Valley campus was constructed in direct response to student demand and input. The complex features a 6-acre multi-purpose field for rugby, soccer, flag football, and softball; a green quad for campus activities; a 10,000 square foot weight and fitness area; two multi-purpose studios for group fitness classes and student clubs; a two-court gymnasium for sports and campus events; two racquetball courts; wellness space with a mediated conference room, demonstration kitchen, fitness assessment, and three alternative medicine studios; a 5,500 square foot pool with lap lanes for small swim meets, games, and socializing; social gaming space with lounge furniture, flat screen video displays with gaming systems, pool table, and ping pong table; bike rentals and repairs; three-lane indoor running track; exterior exercise terraces; new locker facilities near the pool and strength and cardio fitness areas.  Fitness areas look onto the quad to the north and a mountain view in the distance.  This sustainable facility has received a LEED Gold certification.
