LEED SilverThe Cronkite / Eight Building is a six-story structure which houses the Cronkite School of journalism and Mass Communications and the Eight/KAET PBS television station.

The central element of the interior’s design is a large two-story public forum with balconies for formal events. The building includes a 150-seat theater-style auditorium, 12 classrooms, eight digital computer labs, large glass-enclosed student lounge, working newsrooms, television studios with adjoining state-of-the-art digital control rooms, and a digital video plant with transmissions reaching 1.7 million viewers.
