Mill Avenue Parking Structure

Construction webcam

The Mill Avenue Parking Structure replaces 700 surface-lot parking spaces by adding 1,205 parking stalls on six levels.

The parking structure provides spaces for the new Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, parking for events at the Nelson Fine Arts Center and Gammage Auditorium, and future site development of the surrounding area.

The north and south faces of the structure feature a vertical metal screen composed of thin blades set at various angles for a distinctive look that is not typical of a parking facility.

ASU's commitment to sustainability is featured throughout the project:

  • Electric-vehicle charging stations are included on the first and third levels.
  • Project to meet Parksmart certification, a top rating for environmental sustainability.
  • Roof is designed to fit a photovoltaic array for electrical power generation.
  • Structure accommodates underground thermal energy storage for campus cooling.

Secure indoor bicycle parking with changing rooms also included.
