Sun Devil Stadium Renovation Phase II

Building Information

Phase II of this transformative project for Sun Devil Stadium, now known as Mountain America Stadium, demolished the west and north sections of the lower bowl and reconstructed in place with modern stadium seating, sightlines, WiFi access and much more.

This phase also replaced one-third of the upper deck with new seating and structure. A new club level was constructed in place of the old loge level. New improved restrooms, concessions, and elevators were added along the new main concourse.

A large plaza deck attached to the main concourse and on top of the structure of the new Student-Athlete Facility was added at the north end of the stadium. Portions of the new SAF were completed in Phase II and included a new kitchen, operation center, loading area, and back-of-house operations area.

A grand staircase was added at the southwest entrance to the stadium. The new main concourse connects the new concourse at the south end zone to the new plaza at the north via the west side with greatly improved field visibility.
