Active Shooter Preparedness training
The safety of the Arizona State University community is vital.
The ASU Police Department urges all students, faculty and staff to watch the new active shooter training video.
The ASU-produced video provides invaluable tips for how to think, act and react in potentially dangerous situations on ASU campuses and at off-campus places frequented every day.
“The ASU Police Department mission is to create a safe and secure environment for our community to live, learn, work, and grow in,” said Michael Thompson, ASU Police Chief. “The lessons taught in this video are life lessons that will extend far beyond your time at the university in whatever capacity you are in. Our hope is that you will find lessons useful now and in the future.”
In-person active shooter training reinforces video concepts and is conducted by ASU Police. In-person active shooter training is available across all ASU campuses; call 480-965-1972 to schedule.
ASU Police Crime Prevention staff can conduct safety walkthroughs of ASU facilities and share necessary recommendations.
Call 911 in an emergency and ASU Police 480-965-3456 for non-emergencies. Visit the ASU Police the ASU Emergency Preparedness and the ASU LiveSafe app webpages for more safety information.
