Building Information
The project includes renovation of the existing 32,649 gross-square-foot Student Union and an approximately 68,000 GSF expansion to the east of the building on the Polytechnic campus.
This development improves student community interaction on campus by enhancing a popular gathering place for studying, dining, entertainment, leisure and meetings. It will expand food service and dining facilities; provide additional offices, lounge, meeting and storage spaces for student organizations and clubs; update the campus store; and add exterior event and seating space, as well as classrooms and office space for departments that provide student support and new programs at the Polytechnic campus.
The expansion will include the design and construction of all building systems that coordinate with the existing Student Union, as well as existing campus site infrastructure and utilities, including the existing chilled and hot water system.
