ASU Health Building

Advancing health care

Building Information

This project will construct a 175,000 gross-square-foot, multi-level facility, developed in partnership with the City of Phoenix, that will serve as headquarters for ASU Health.

The facility will be located between Fillmore and Pierce Streets to the north and south, and Fourth and Fifth Streets to the east and west within the Phoenix BioCore, a cluster of industry leaders spearheading research on the world’s most important health science discoveries.

The headquarters will include traditional and virtual reality classrooms, health care simulation and skills labs, a medical technology innovation suite, and faculty and administrative offices. The building amenities will include community learning spaces, student engagement and support spaces, a library, and convening spaces.

The building will house the John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering, a new kind of medical school that blends clinical education, engineering, artificial intelligence, interprofessional collaboration, humanism and systems thinking to train doctors who don’t just work within the system but have the skills and vision to transform it.

The building will house the School of Technology for Public Health, which aims to create a new and rapidly evolving space for the integration of digital technology, data-driven decision-making and a significant focus on local impact within public health.

The building will also be home to professional training programs in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation and the College of Health Solutions.
