On September 20, 2024, the ASU Police Department received a report of a completed motor vehicle theft and an additional report of an attempted theft that occurred at Taylor Street Parking Structure located at 475 N. 2nd Street, Phoenix.
In both cases, the suspect(s) broke a window to get inside the vehicles. Both vehicles were Hyundai Elantras 2016.

Business and Finance Support Services
BFSS is crucial in supporting the Business and Finance, the CFO and the university’s operations by providing essential services. These services encompass various departments, including the Business and Finance Communications Group, Business and Finance IT, and the Organizational Performance Office.
ASU Zero Waste, Sun Devil Hospitality and the Memorial Union transitioned the Tempe campus catering to a zero waste by default model over the 2023–24 academic year.
This collaborative effort introduced a new approach based on service design principles.
Sustainability Initiatives Revolving Fund Mini and Tier One grants aim to boost sustainability awareness, foster a culture of environmental responsibility and encourage positive behavior shifts.
In 2024, various student and employee groups used SIRF grants to advance sustainable practices within the ASU community. Listed below are a few programs that received SIRF funding this year.
Resilience: A Photo Exhibition showcased the university’s commitment to interdisciplinary research, global education and sustainability.
The exhibition highlighted the experiences of ASU students who participated in the Indigenous Sustainability in the Amazon program.
ASU’s Mountain America Stadium introduced reusable aluminum and loyalty cups at Sun Devil Athletics events.
The stadium is transitioning from single-use plastic cups to aluminum cups in the suites and introduced a Sun Devil Athletics Loyalty Cup at Sodexo food and beverage outlets to promote the university’s zero waste goals and reduce single-use plastics.
