Short-term insurance
Suppliers and contractors must maintain insurance coverage to protect ASU when providing services for events. Additionally, individuals or companies using ASU facilities must provide insurance coverage. Short-term coverage may protect the supplier, facility user or ASU against claims by third parties who may be injured or lose property due to participating in an event.
TULIP overview
TULIP is a form of event coverage. Third parties providing services for an ASU event or using an ASU facility may visit TULIP's webpage to get a quote, complete an application and pay for coverage to meet ASU requirements. Third parties must pay for the coverage; ASU will not pay for the insurance.
What types of events does TULIP cover?
Events may range from low-risk, like speaking engagements, classroom seminars, receptions or weddings, to high-risk, including festivals and concerts. Costs are based upon these factors:
- Risk of the activity.
- Special requirements, including alcohol liability participant coverage, etc.
- The number of days the activity occurs.
- The number of participants.
Upon completion of the transaction, the supplier will receive an electronic copy of their application and verification of coverage.
Who can use TULIP?
The TULIP program can be used by:
- Individuals or companies renting space from ASU for a short period.
- Student clubs or third parties hosting events at ASU.
- Vendors hired to be part of events hosted by ASU entities on campus.
Off-campus events are not eligible. Some activities may be ineligible for coverage. Please visit the TULIP website to view coverage details, covered activities and ineligible activities.
