Bloodborne pathogens general awareness	Non-research personnel reasonably anticipated to come into contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.	29 CFR 1910.1030; 1910.1020	Required upon assignment and refreshed every 364 days.
Comprehensive Biosafety Tri-University training, formerly ASU Biosafety and Bloodborne Pathogens	Laboratory or clinical research personnel who work with infectious agents, potentially infectious or recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids.	29 CFR 1910.130; 1910.1020	Required upon assignment .
Comprehensive Biosafety Tri-University - refresher training	This refresher is required for laboratory or clinical research personnel who work with infectious agents, potentially infectious or recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids.	29 CFR 1910.130; 1910.1020	Annual refresher.
Compressed gas	Those performing installation, removal, operation and maintenance on cylinders or compressed gas systems, cutters or welders.	29 CFR 1910.101	Required upon assignment and recommend refresher every three years.
Dry ice shipper	Those who handle dry ice.	29 CFR 1910.1200	Required upon assignment and refreshed every two years.
Field research safety	Those who conduct field research.		Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every two years.
Fire safety and prevention	Required for all ASU staff.	29 CFR 1910.157; 1910. 35–39	Required upon assignment and refreshed annually.
Hazard communications for the arts	Those who work within the art communities are exposed to hazardous substances and chemicals during their duties.	29 CFR 1910.1200	Required upon assignment and refreshed annually.
Hazardous waste management for labs	Those who work with and dispose of biological, chemical and radiological substances.		Required upon assignment and refreshed annually.
Hydrofluoric acid safety	Those who use or may be exposed to HF.		Required upon assignment and refreshed annually.
Laboratory safety — Initial	Those beginning work in a laboratory environment.	29 CFR 1910.1450	Required upon assignment.
Laboratory safety — Refresher	Those continuing to work in a laboratory environment.	29 CFR 1910.1450	Required annually.
Laser safety	Those working with class 3B and class 4 lasers.	ANSI Z136.1-2014	Required upon assignment, at the addition of new equipment and recommended refresher every three years.
Liquid nitrogen safety	Those involved with the use, handling and storage of liquid nitrogen.		Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every three years.
Power outage response	This course provides an overview of power outage response and procedures		Recommended for laboratory personnel.
Radiation-producing equipment	Those working with radiation-producing sources. Additional hands-on training is required.	10 CFR 885 J	Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every two years.
Radioactive materials safety	Required for all personnel working with sealed or unsealed radioactive materials.	10 CFR 835.901	Required upon assignment.

Respiratory protection training	Those required to wear respirators as part of their duties at ASU.	29 CFR 1910.134	Required upon assignment, at the addition of new equipment and refreshed annually.
NIH guidelines	Those involved with conducting, overseeing or managing research involving human subjects.		Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every four years.
PAPR awareness	Those required to wear any respirator.	29 CFR 1910.134	Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every three years.
Pyrophoric safety	Those handling pyrophoric or water-reactive materials.		Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every three years.
Respirable crystalline silica	Those whose duties expose them to respirable crystalline silica.	29 CFR 1926.1153	Required upon assignment and recommended refresher every three years.
