Motor Vehicle Theft | 9-20-2024

On September 20, 2024, the ASU Police Department received a report of a completed motor vehicle theft and an additional report of an attempted theft that occurred at Taylor Street Parking Structure located at 475 N. 2nd Street, Phoenix.
In both cases, the suspect(s) broke a window to get inside the vehicles. Both vehicles were Hyundai Elantras 2016.
ASU Police are increasing patrols of the area. Officers recommend all drivers always verify their vehicles are locked before walking away, and if available, take other precautions, such as activating anti-theft alarms, using steering wheel locks, etc.
