Our work

Culture and Inclusion supports and fosters a culture of inclusiveness. We promote and assist with equal opportunity and diversity initiatives. We also provide university leadership and hiring officials with clear and accessible employment data, timely and effective consultation and high-impact training.

Cultural Outcomes

Culture and Inclusion endeavors to achieve five cultural outcomes: 

  • Leadership in inclusion: Establish a culture of innovative leadership to promote and embed inclusive practices throughout the organization. 
  • Empathy-driven policies: Foster a work environment where empathy is a core value, guiding interactions and decision-making in all organizational practices. 
  • Accountability to others: Build a culture of shared accountability where individuals take responsibility for their actions and contributions. 
  • Respect in initiatives: Develop and promote initiatives that foster a culture of respect and mutual understanding among all employees. 
  • Nurture diverse talent: Support the growth and development of diverse talent by providing targeted personal and professional development opportunities. 

We use these outcomes to measure growth and success. Think of these as goals for all members of the ASU community as we work together to build an innovative approach to inclusive excellence.
