Workday training for employees with HR security roles

Arizona State University employees who perform HR-related tasks must complete Workday web-based and instructor-led training based on their security roles. This ensures employees can perform necessary tasks when Workday launches Dec. 23, 2024.

View a list of employees with HR-related security roles.

Only complete HR personnel training if your name is listed. Contact your unit’s readiness coordinator if you do not have a security role. 

HR security roles

HR personnel includes anyone with these security roles: 

  • Academic HR Analyst.
  • Academic HR Partner.
  • Dean/VP.
  • HR Analyst. 
  • HR Partner. 

Employees with HR security roles should take web-based training in the order listed below.

Be sure to complete prerequisite courses first.

Regardless of what HR-related security roles you have, you must complete introductory Workday training courses and enroll in and complete the following ILT courses that run Oct. 21 to Dec. 13:  

  • Adding additional jobs.

  • Compensation.

  • Hire and onboarding.
  • Manage positions.

  • Manage job requisitions. 

How to register for ILT courses

  1. Open the Workday HCM Training curriculum
  2. Navigate to the bottom of the course list. 
  3. Select an ILT training course. 
  4. Register for an upcoming session.
