Moving and Event Services Tempe Campus

Moving and Event Services Tempe Campus is responsible for moving existing equipment and furniture on the Tempe campus and supplying equipment for University-sponsored events. Regular business hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  Deliveries and pickups of event equipment are made between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  

  • For event equipment request, please submit online using our Event Request Form. You will receive a notification whether the equipment is available or not by the next business day.
  • For general inquiries regarding moving services, please call 480.965.1833.
  • Request for services and event equipment are scheduled and processed in the order they are received.
  • If moving services cannot be performed due to labor or availability constraits, the requestor will be told within 24 hours of the site visit.

Moving and Event Services Tempe Campus does not charge for:

  • Moving furniture and equipment on the Tempe Campus
  • Supply equipment for University-recognized events
  • Off campus services available contingent of scheduling.
  • Delivery of furniture and equipment from Surplus Property Facility as schedule allows.
  • Pickup of salvageable furniture is handled by Surplus Property.

Moving and Event Services Tempe Campus does charge for moving services associated with, or as a result of:

  • Renovation or remodeling projects
  • New construction
  • Third party contracts
  • Carpet installation

Tables, chairs and related equipment for University-sponsored clubs and organizations are available for Delivery on the Tempe Campus only. Users will be charged for equipment not returned, or returned in a damaged condition. The following equipment is available:

  • Folding leg banquet tables - 6ft x 30in x 29in
  • Round tables - 60in and 54in
  • Folding chairs
  • White armless "bistro" chairs
  • Podiums
  • Easels - 53in x 19in
  • Sign standards - 7ft tall
  • Coat racks
  • Dressing mirrors
  • Trash containers
  • Recycling containers
  • Packing boxes (Charges apply)

WEST CAMPUS

Requests for services or information regarding purchase of furniture, status of deliveries, scheduled installation or advice regarding special needs for cabinets, shelving and non-standard furniture should be directed to Facilities Coordinator at 623.543.6941. Requests for major furniture reconfigurations involving multiple stations and power and telephone/data connections should be directed to the Shop Manager at 623.543.6951.
