WEST CAMPUS
The Grounds Services Team is responsible to the campus community for a beautifully groomed and safe environment consisting of desert plants, trees and shrubbery, grass, and flower beds on 300 acres, of which approximately 80 acres are cultivated. The team is dedicated to providing cost effective landscaping services and water conservation. On campus there are 2 wells which provide the water to maintain the plants. The water is pumped from the wells to a 100,000 gallon underground storage tank. Through the Maxicom 2 computer system, the water is pumped from the storage tank to the plants.
The Grounds Team is committed to providing a beautiful atmosphere conducive to learning and doing so in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way.
The services provided by the Grounds Team are the maintenance of lawn areas, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and granite areas. We also provide outdoor weed and pest control, parking lot trash pick up, street sweeping, sidewalk and mall cleanup, and cleaning and striping of sports facilities.
If you notice broken tree branches, water irrigation leaks, bees or wasps please e-mail FACWORK@asu.edu, or call 3-3200. All other Grounds activities are performed on a routine basis.
