Facilities Management #3 is historically significant for its association with the initial development and construction of Williams Air Force Base. It represents the best illustration of a typical military support building once common at the field. The building is also significant as a good example of its type, period, and method of construction. Built of standard military design by the Del E. Webb Construction Company, the Housing Supply Storage Warehouse represents the military property type.

The Housing Supply Storage Warehouse was part of the first phase of development at Williams Field which took place between August 1941 and February 1942. The initial development included construction of 146 buildings and structures, runway construction and flood control, and drilling a water well with a storage and supply system (National Register Nomination Form, 1995).
