Employee COVID-19 testing

Employees can get tested for COVID-19

ASU employees currently working on campus may choose to be tested for COVID-19. If you feel sick, you only may be tested in a drive-thru.

Reservations are required. Future test dates will be posted below.

Please do not bring children or spouses to the testing site. Only ASU employees are eligible for testing.

You MUST bring your ASU ID card and the QR code you received after completing your test appointment.

The ASU Biodesign Institute developed Arizona’s first COVID-19 saliva-based test, and now offers testing for employees only who do not have COVID-19 symptoms.

Limited appointments are available for each testing date. University employees must create a Point and Click Solutions account to view and schedule testing appointments and register with ASU Agency Code 2tzzr5xi.
Email the ASU Biodesign Institute protocol officer if you have software scheduling issues. 

All positive COVID-19 test results will only be shared with appropriate ASU medical professionals for follow-up counseling and contact-tracing efforts. University employees will be available to answer questions.

Pre-appointment requirements

Hydration will help you accumulate saliva. Hydrate up to 30 minutes before your test.

  1. Rinse your mouth with plain water for 20-30 seconds and spit it out 30 minutes before your appointment.

  2. After mouth rinsing, do not eat, drink—even water—smoke, vape, or chew gum for 30 minutes before your appointment. 

On-site appointment process

  1. Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time.

  2. Wear a protective face cover. Either a cloth or surgical mask is acceptable.

  3. Maintain social distancing if you are in a space with others.

  4. Have a water bottle handy for post-appointment hydration.

The ASU Biodesign Clinical Testing Laboratory will send you a text message within 48 hours. Log in to the Point and Click portal to view your test results in the messages section.
