Arizona State University joined the HelioCampus Benchmarking Consortium in 2018. ASU uses the decision support platform to examine the relative intensity of staffing costs, comparing those costs to other consortium members on a normalized basis to facilitate resource planning and allocation conversations.
HelioCampus uses activity-based costing methods to measure human capital investment in select functional areas, such as facilities, finance, information technology, human resources and research administration. The platform enables analysis that distinguishes central services that support ASU entirely from decentralized services that support a particular unit or area.
