The Records Unit serves as the central repository for all police reports and related records. ASU Police participate in the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, a statistical publication of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Obtaining Copies of Case Reports:
Citizens wishing to obtain a copy of a releasable police report may request one in person or by mail. Victims of a criminal offense may receive one free copy of a report in which they are listed as the victim. (This does not include recordings or photos.) ARS 13-4401.19 defines victim. Standard fees apply to accident reports.
To process a request, please use the Public Records Request form and provide a report number (if available), date, time and location of the incident, or name(s) of the person(s) involved. Requests should be mailed to the mailing address listed above. Members of the media may email a Public Records Request form to Media Relations.
Processing time for records will vary depending on the nature of the incident, and if the case is still under investigation. You will be contacted when the request is completed.

Fees may be paid by check, money order or Visa / Mastercard. Checks and/or Money Orders should be made out to Arizona State University. Cash payments will only be accepted when paid in person.
