Data Management manages data for all ASU Employees (faculty, staff and students). We administer employment transactions such as, hires, rehires, position set up and control, transfers, promotions, salary changes and terminations. Areas supported are:
Position Management
Everything tied to an employee’s position, including position number, job title, FTE, Regular/Temporary status, etc.
Job Data
Data associated with job or employment setup, which includes compensation, employment begin and end dates, new hire data, etc.
Personal Data
Employee biographical data corrections

Two changes were recently made to the PTR.

  1. The PTR is now open to process all transactions up to 120 days retroactively. Please submit these transactions through the PTR. A Data Management Exception Form will no longer be required for these transactions. The PTR's will be routed to Data Management, and may require additional documentation.

Please remember to submit a PAR in circumstances that require retroactive payroll adjustments.

Special circumstances may still require a Data Management Exception Form, such as:

    • Leaves
    • Faculty/Grad mid pay period changes
  2. All additional jobs will route to Data Management for final approval.

The Data Management area within Financial Services is being reorganized. There will be a transition period as we complete the new organizational structure.

Effective immediately and until the transition is complete, the accountants within Financial Services that currently provide financial accounting services for your department will be your contact for Data Management related questions. A list of Financial Services accountants by area is available at http://cfo.asu.edu/fs-accounting-services.

In addition, questions can be sent via email to DataMgmt@exchange.asu.edu  Please continue to fax new hire packets and Data Management exception forms to 480.993.0005

Financial Services is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for University departments. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Terri Deasey or Jerri Pennington.
