MISSION STATEMENT

To provide excellence in administrative services to the University and community in support of Arizona State University, the New American University.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES OVERVIEW

Facilities Development and Management is comprised of approximately 450 team members.  The Department of Administrative Services team members are responsible for providing centralized program support and direction to Facilities Development and Management to include, Department of Business Operations, Capital Programs Management Group, Department of Facilities Management Tempe campus, Polytechnic campus and West campus and the Office of the University Architect.

The Department of Administrative Services develops, administers, monitors, and provides division-wide support and program oversight in the areas of:  strategic planning, organizational development, compensation/classification, position management, salary planning, employment, temporary services, recruitment, leave of absence programs, worker’s compensation, alternate duty, PeopleSoft management, time and attendance, performance management, service awards, policies and procedures, employee relations, safety/hotline compliance, goals and accomplishment program, audits, data analysis, reporting, Suggestion Box management, database development, web page updates, process improvement and information technology services support.

MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Administrative Services, Management Support Services, assists Facilities Development and Management management with all facets of employment, recruitment, time and attendance, leaves programs and employee relations.  The employment process from the initial job posting through the recruitment process until a hire is made.  These services encompass all staffing needs, including temporary and student recruitment and employment activities.  Payroll/Time and Attendance provides centralized division-wide salary planning; payroll/PeopleSoft management; and time and labor support.

Employee Relations administers the division’s progressive disciplinary program, provides guidance in resolution of workplace conflicts; educates and guides employees, managers, supervisors and administrators on a variety of employee relations issues; consults in matters related to staff personnel polices, procedures and programs; and develops and implements new programs and policies.

Leaves Management provides centralized division-wide program support and consultation to employees, supervisors, managers and administrators in the areas of Employee Leaves of Absence; Workers’ Compensation; Alternate Duty; and Return to Work Program.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Administrative Services, Information Technology Services unit, leads and manages division-wide technology initiatives in support of goals of the division and of the New American University.  Additionally, this team manages the division-wide Facilities Development and Management web-based computerized maintenance management system, websites, and develops and maintains web applications to accommodate the division’s business and operational needs.

DATA MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Administrative Services, Data Management Services unit, is dedicated to providing a broad range of data solutions to departments within Facilities Development and Management.  Data Management Services designs and maintains comprehensive databases; conducts data analysis; data quality assurance; manages division-wide goals and accomplishments; tracks ABOR audits; prepares reports and provides technical customer service support.
